ConstructEng Australia are partnering exclusively with a ADG Engineers to recruit a Director of Civil Engineering. The position is based in their modern North Sydney office, conveniently located opposite the train station and reports to the NSW/ACT Practice Director.

Their offices are located in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Darwin, Adelaide and Perth. They are considered experts across structural engineering, construction services (temporary works), civil engineering and virtual design, and work together in order to deliver a complete solution to a project.
Their expanding Sydney team of civil engineers provide a full range of Transport infrastructure engineering consulting services in multiple sectors, focusing on the development of safe, considered and innovative solutions to the most challenging problems encountered in the construction of projects. The team pride themselves on working seamlessly with all project stakeholders, ensuring no solution is developed in isolation and without consideration of the potential implications on other areas of the project.
The opportunity:
The primary purpose of this role is to provide a lead technical role across all aspects of civil engineering design for roads, drainage, flooding and hydrology for transport infrastructure and related corridors and precincts.
As Principal Civil Engineer, you will be expected to:
· Be highly competent in road design geometric design in 12D and thorough knowledge of Austroads.
· Have significant experience in road drainage design using 12D and Rational Method.
· Experienced in pavement design using CIRCLY is desirable.
· Experienced in Traffic Staging is desirable.
· Demonstrated design management experience in the technical delivery of transport infrastructure projects.
· Mentor junior civil engineers and civil designers.
· Divide your time between 70% Technical Delivery and 30% Client Interfacing.
· Proof Engineering experience for civil packages on Transport Infrastructure Projects.
· Have experience in preparing transport infrastructure fee proposals.
About you
· Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering and hold chartered engineer status.
· At least 15 years’ experience working on Transport Infrastructure Projects.
· Comfortable liaising with, managing and developing client relationships.
· Experience with and understanding of the legislation, policy, processes and practices involved in planning for and delivering major transport projects.
· Experience in multi-disciplinary Civil Design Management.
· Able to work with the Contractors to manage design requirements.
